NEW TO LIVING WORD?

Here are some FAQs about our church services. Please visit our About Us page to learn more about Living Word. If you have any questions, please contact us!

Where should I park?

There are a few spaces for guests to park in the front, but most of the parking is located in the back of the building.

Which door should I use?

In front the main door is located to the right when facing the building. In the back, walk across our bridge to the entrance.

What should I wear?

We are pretty casual with personal attire. But wear what makes you comfortable. You will see people wearing jeans and others in suits.

What about my kids?

Children are ALWAYS welcome in our worship services.  Most SUNDAY services have Children's Church, which is a short lesson taught in one of our classrooms during the sermon. This is for children who are age 3 through 2nd grade. We also have a cry room in the back of the worship area (THE RAINBOW ROOM). You are welcome to stay in this room with your child. The service is broadcast into the room.

Children's Message?

There is a short Children's Message routinely given by either the pastor or a member of the congregation during the Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning worship service.

Offerings?

Our offerings are collected in boxes by the doors of the worship area.

What are the services like?

Our services are blended. They contain elements of traditional and contemporary services and music.

May I participate in Communion?

The Lord’s Supper is celebrated at Living Word Lutheran Church, Missouri Synod in the confession and glad confidence that, as He says, our Lord gives into our mouths not only bread and wine but His very body and blood to eat and to drink for the forgiveness of sins and to strengthen our union with Him and with one another. Our Lord invites to His table those who trust His words, repent of all sin, and set aside any refusal to forgive and love as He forgives and loves us, that they may show forth His death until He comes. Because those who eat and drink our Lord’s body and blood unworthily do so to their great harm and because Holy Communion is a confession of the faith which is confessed at this altar, any who are not yet instructed, in doubt or who hold a confession differing from that of this congregation and The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod, and yet desire to receive the Sacrament, are asked first to speak with the pastor or an elder. For further study, see Matt. 5:23f.; 10:32f.; 18:15–35; 26:26–29; 1 Cor.11:17–34.
